Every other day Cours Saleya is the home of famous flower market but on Mondays it hosts the flea market, quite big and interesting once. Most of the sellers looked like unique, artistic kind of people that surely had some great stories to tell. There was a huge variety of items to be sold: from glassware to clothes, from books to frames, from clothes and accesories to candlesticks… Everyone could find something for himself!
The items all had a French-alike look to me. I can’t even fully explain what I mean by that. I just have this image of Parisian flat in my head, full of vintage furnitures and decorations that make the place looks friendly and cosy. And that’s how I found the whole flea market – bohemian.
Even if I didn’t plan to buy anything I spent a good hour just walking around, looking carefull at all the items, finding some true gems (like almost brand new Luis Vuitton bag) or really hideous things among them. And I didn’t even realize the time passing by, I was so occupied with exploring the flea market. It was one of my fave places in Nice and I couldn’t be happier to have found it!
